Global Director of Client Relationships & Business Development

Marie is a partner at Observatory Group, bringing over 20 years of experience in the global investment banking and securities industry. Her extensive background spans research, sales, and trading, both domestically and internationally, with notable tenures at leading U.S. investment banks, including Morgan Stanley, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Lehman Brothers, and Smith Barney. At Smith Barney, Marie was instrumental in developing and managing the U.S. based International Equities division.

In addition to her U.S. experience, Marie has significant expertise with European-based investment firms, where she focused on establishing and managing their U.S. operations. She served as Managing Director and Head of the U.S. Office for Hagstromer & Qviberg and as Executive Director for Banca IMI/San Paolo Securities. Prior to joining Observatory Group, Marie was Head of Research for the Americas at High Frequency Economics, an independent macroeconomic research firm concentrating on the G7 nations and China. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Queens College and is fluent in Serbo-Croatian and Albanian.
